  6. Dr. Need advice for my toy Pomeranian. She’s 6, 1 1/2 yrs ago she began to scratch excessively so after treating for fleas (thinking that was the case), I took her to the vet only to be prescribed allergy meds. She stilled continue to scratch so a diet and bathing shampoo was followed but nothing was working and her fur began to oose fur. I was told she has alopecia. I then took her to a dermatologist for this kind of issues. After insisting a comprehensive blood test I was sent home with the same diagnoses of alopecia. After the lab results came back she was low on a hormone (can’t remember which) but started to turn into scrapyard no other serious diseases. Then I after began numerous home treatments to ease the itching for a about 3 weeks and finally again to the vet. She was put on three rounds of antibiotics and I was told she has a skin bacteria not contagious (because my other dog is fine). She has had so much trauma to her skin her fur is still struggling to completely grow. Although she is now well the areas most compromised is the neck, lower part of the ribs and the butt area. She’s currently on melatonin 3 grams(2x), 3 grams of flaxseed legnans, probiotics(1/4 heaping spoon and 100% brilliant salmon oil and Hills prescription skin support food. I also maintain her skin moist because she seems to have dry skin and that could be another factor. Please advice what can I give her to increase the hair growth faster. I see small tiny hairs but it’s so slow to grow out. Thank you

  9. I am so sorry that happened to you 😞 You're one of the best people I've ever seen that helps people with their pets a lot of us can't afford to go to a veterinarian and your advice is always perfect God bless you and I'm sorry you had to go through something like that that was not fair 🙏🌹
