Doctor, so is it the ingredients that deter the licking of the paws ? Do they not like the test or smell ? My dog wouldn’t stop so I gave him a little be of benedryl
1. Examine paws for any foreign body. 2. Dog allergy to food or pollen or underlying yeast infection. 3. Foot soak: 1 cup green tea, 2 T. ACV, 1 T salt, 10 drops lavender essential oil. 5 minutes 2 x / day for 7 days.
🙋♀️ I live in Alabama and I recently spent 2 months in Southern California and my dog Daisey went with me and before we left for over a year she was having so much scratching and licking her paws but after a couple weeks in California it ALL went away! And we’re back in Alabama and it’s starting again. I’m thinking the humidity is a culprit for these skin conditions. Bc I didn’t change her food or anything else. It’s very humid here and damp lately bc of rain also. Her belly is supposed to be white but it’s a black fungus looking color even though I bathe her every other week and sometimes once a week depending. But her belly was in California was also turning white again. Help
Thank you so much. Max has been crazy w Licking his Paws. Vet put him on An Antibiotic(2nd time) and also an antihistamine and still licking. Will definitely try this
* 1 cup of green tea * 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar * 1 tablespoon of salt * 10 drops of lavender essential oil * Mix it all together * Sit the dog’s paws in it for 4-5 minutes, twice a day, for 7 days
My former dog, RIP Tinkerbell, she had done the same thing and then she eventually had to get her toe amputated.
Flash forward to this month with our 3 year old Boston terrier Delta, pure bred, and she’s doing the same thing. However, I’ve learned from the past and I’ve wrapped up her leg in bandages since it’s scabbing but it’s slowly starting to heal. When the scab is completely healed, I’ll try this.

Letting green tea steep for longer than 6 minutes causes it to taste extra bitter so is it the bitterness that keeps them from licking?
