  1. Hi Dr. Andrew, I understand you spent some time down in South America, and it is possible you could have been exposed to a parasite of some kind. Have you thought about taking some Ivermectin? I recommend giving it a try. Just a suggestion, I do hope you find some relief and feel better soon.

  2. So if I were you, firstly I’d recommend you stop swimming the lake and get treatment to kill the parasites, rather than just treating the inflammation. Crotamiton topical for example.

  3. I was diagnosed in 2008 with Linear Iga disease! Pure misery and on! I didn’t know until a friend of mine which is a Veterinary showed a photo of a dog that had the same thing! That skin disease is MISERY!! 🥺😩

  4. Hi doctor Jones My wife and I have had the exact symptoms you are describing for several weeks along with our two spaniels both dogs were constantly scratching and covered in a rash and bare patches so I took them to the vet last week she diagnosed a bacterial infection for both dogs and prescribed antibiotics and steroid tablets for the both of them they are halfway through the treatment and I can't believe the incredible response to the treatment the condition has more or less cleared up already and boy do those steroid tablets give them both an appetite!
Keep them great video's coming take care ❤

  5. When you said hot tub – that was the biggest clue. If a hot tub isn’t regularly cleaned, you can catch a fungus. My sister got a fungal infection from using a hot tub.

  6. Hi Doc….you have some great helpers (viewers) here!!
….must ask though….what can I give to help my 3mo.old Chihuahua who has kennel cough, runny eyes, sneezing sometimes?
He's had this for a week and a half. Does not go to kennels or puppy k.
What can I do? Can I do children's benadryl?

  7. I went to many dermatologists, no one helped me, itchy bumps couldn’t sleep at night. Went to a specialist & was diagnosed with Prurigo Nodularis, a rare skin problem. Was given doxycycline & I used Vicks vapoRub with menthol. It helped a lot

  8. Oddly I've had the same too. I haven't been swimming with ducks but used a different washing powder a while ago and put away the clothes. I pulled out some recently to wear and got the rash. Took me ages to find out what it was😂

  9. Hello Dr Jones.. i have the exact same condition and i do not swim anywhere other than showers and i also am baffled. I am off to see the nurse asap because i have changed washing powders and all the usual things and i feel it is coming from our foods or a deficiency in possible minerals yet i take all the vitamins .. I have spent a whole year trying different things yet they still are coming and one is the size of my thumb and raised.. so no alternative but to see a nurse. I know others are also experiencing this too and maybe just maybe it could be stress. I will let you know when i find out. Try not to worry.

  10. Had the same thing across my stomache and inner forearms, my "guess", this occurred ten days after my third dose of covid vaccine, lasted about a week then vanished, I chose not to continue the fax mandate at about the same time the medical community decided the same thing.

  11. Looks like it may be foliculitis.
Excerpt from Dr Axe’s we site: Hot Tub Folliculitis. Generally, this type appears as a rash of round red bumps that are extremely itchy. They typically occur 24 to 48 hours after exposure to the Pseudomonas bacteria, which is often found in hot tubs and heated pools that are not properly chlorinated and pH balanced. I would try hi quality manuka honey first – and/or any of his recommendations – he offers mainstream & natural options like you do. Hope thats helpful. 🙂

  12. When I was a Marine , I kept a bottle of rainex winsheld wash. Methyl alcohol and the ranix chemical that dries the skin coat it, this would help while in the field. Sometimes be enough.
It is a mite of a type. You sleep with your dogs. Buy some broncos, fly and flee for horses and dogs. Yes it says not recommended for humans but been using it for years, my American Fox hound loves to bring all kinds of things back from the field.

Scrub them in soap and water or with some dog flea shampoo then treat clothing with bronco fly spray inside out. Then let dry. Now bomb your room with an insect bedbug per instructions. You have a super small mite. Not poison oak or a rash, or it would spread to more parts of your body. Wash them winter clothes with a tad of bleach .

Fight that every early spring or late winter when it warms up and humidity rises. Of course, Maria loves to hunt down wild animals, dead or alive. She loves rolling where the deer sleep etc. takes a week to start to heal up. Some small scarring can happen.
Never got sick from the active ingredients. Mites are hard to control. As an old Cross-country Mover, it got to the point where I would refuse to move people with large amounts of birds.

I sleep on my right side the most, so my left side usually has your issue, my lower back.
Good luck, it is a battle I always fight. My dog and I go to the field and woods 3 times a day to exorcize. Last year was the worst.
This March has been tough on me, just like you.
Treat your furniture with flea spray. And your bed spread.

If you repeat the process about every 3 days with the spray wash, then treat clothing you're going to wear. You may also use some hydrogen peroxide after the shower. It dries out the skin and promotes healing. Those things need moisture.
They can hibernate on and in your clothes for years.
I ran into more crazy things in the Marines, but hey at 62 now I know what I am looking at.

  13. This is a good start for me to learn about the skin diseases, I would say it is caused by the duck swimming, I had tried using the purple berries stem to apply on my itchy skin caused by mosquitoes, the clear sap did help in a minute, but people say the plant is toxic, I forgot the name of the plant, we usually see them in yards

  14. I know someone who would get something similar around their face. They applied a tiny mixture of 1/4 tsp raw buckwheat honey, a few granules of sea salt and then would wet their fingertips to water down the mixture then applied to their skin, leaving it on overnight, or for at least 30 minutes. It will be a little sticky, if it is too sticky they would dampen the fingers with water and tap it on the honey area again. Within a week it was gone. Thank you for the video, I never heard of this duck issue before, good to know!

  15. the trauma of the achilles injury changed your bodies responsiveness to environmental irritants. i say get out of the chlorine. or way limit exposure time. consider talking to a Bodytalk practitioner who can track down the origins. might take 2 or 3 sessions.

  16. I have it on my forearms, for about a month now. I came across this which might pertain to you: What is the new COVID variant skin rash?
    Morbilliform rash

This is the most common rash due to COVID-19. It involves red, itchy bumps that are widespread. But they're mainly located on the trunk.

  17. Everyone is different, but my mom got this really bad itch on her legs , no matter how we tried treating the skin the itch didn’t go away. She had just these reddish itching lesions too . She started taking antihistamines at night it only helped a little. Finally , we found out it was the arthritis, it was flare ups causing the itch wow ! I would have never related the two but that was it. She took three small doses of steroid over three nights and the itch stopped on the second night actually. It hasn’t come back for a few weeks now . Amazing results . She is told if the itch flares up again she can think of cortisol injections which is really good for localised parts of the body with arthritis 🌼
