  1. I hate that this happened, but I accidentally put DOG meds on my CAT. I can actually kill cats!! I didn't know at the moment, but after a few hours she was shaking very badly. I looked at it and realized what I did. I washed her with dawn dish liquid and scrubed the area I applied it and luckily she did survive. She had a seizure later and I had her next to me all night till the trembling finally calmed down.

Be extremely careful and never use something that isn't for your specific pet. read it, look at reviews, use common knowledge, and if you can get ahold of a vet. I couldn't at the time so it was just a waiting game and my furbaby could have died.

  2. Great video. Paramecium poisoning in cats is terrible, and it can cause death in just a short time.
A lot of horse, cow and dog flea, fly and tick sprays contains Paramecium.
People need to be reminded not to use these spays on or near cats, and their bedding.
    Thank you Doctor.

  3. actually I am horrified what I am finding each time checking either vet or human drugs… this is scary that it’s all approved. stay vigilant! I pay for my mistake I wasn’t once during 20 minutes visit

  4. Thank you for posting this video!!! I'm sure i speak for many when i say, i wish every vet thought and had a heart like yours. About 3 years ago, my old (no longer) vet prescribed Bravecto to my cats. They would scream when we put it on and my vet would say that cats are just drama queens (which is in part true). I had cats, two of them had horrible allergic reactions, one of them actually got a bald patch on the spot the dose was put in. I thought how horrible it must feel to have something on your skin, so strong that it actually causes baldness. I was actually worried that i may loose one of the two. I started checking online and read so many horror stories about people loosing their cats because of these treatments, it's practically poison. Fleas are such a big problem and i got another issue again this year but fortunately you put out a solution that i will be trying. I was so scared to use those solutions because as much as I hate fleas, i wasn't sure which topical treatment i was willing to use knowing i could be risking my cats life. I wasn't willing to sacrifice any of them. Again.. thank you so much!!!!

  5. Help, I accidentally applied revolution plus to my nursing cat. What should I do now? It’s only been 30 minutes and she and her kittens look normal so far. But I’m so so scared. Will she be ok?

  6. Just wasted a lot of time watching why NOT to give DOG medication to a cat- sigh. Really? um, DUH? "If someone didn't have glasses on they wouldn't see that!" Like yeah but would they see the package says FOR DOGS in large lettering on the front?? Not bothering with the rest of the video.

  7. I was working at a vets when Hartz put this crap out. I am still traumatized to this day from all the cats we saw having seizures/deaths. We even saw this when it was only used on the family dog. Cats and dogs are not the same species. What is fine for your dog can kill your cat! Thanks for this video!

  8. My cat had severe respiratory problems after applying a different topical flea, and tick medication. I usually use hartz for cats, but this time I used the stronger hartz one for cats. I took him to the vet, and she said she didn’t know if it was pneumonia, or what. He was on antibiotics for over month, and finally got better. His issue lasted almost three months. Could it have possibly been the flea treatment? I’m worried to put more on him, because the vet couldn’t pin point his issue..

  9. We have a one year old ratcoon and we have a chahuahua. Are dog got are ratcoon flees and she keep itching her neck raw really bad so we thought. It would be ok to split a flee medicine treatment for five pound dog between them. But it's made Lola are ratcoon sick. She been throwing up for last two days. She's still alert getting down for water etc. What can I do to make her feel better. Hope I've not hurt my baby.

  10. My cat died this morning. She had a nose injury five days ago. I took her to the vet. They checked her and gave her an injection (nimovet) and cefpodoxime (oral suspension). Her wounds healed but she started vomiting after two days. I observed her for a day. She became weaker at which point I decided to take her to the vet the next morning. But she went out and didn’t came back. Usually she comes back when I call her but she didn’t. I found her near our veranda yesterday evening. She was very weak. During the night her pee was yellow. Can anybody tell me what could possibly be the cause of her death.

  11. We used Bayer Advantage Multi on the vets advice a month ago…. i wanted Frontline (We used Frontline on my 2 yr old female cat since she was a kitten with no issue.), but he talked me into using this on her & our 3 new males kittens(9 months old). In less than 24 hours, all four of our cats became lethargic. I had no idea it was due to the application of flea control. They all seemed to recover, but one of the 9 month old kittens began throwing up, so we took him to the vet & they gave him some steroids & antibiotics… charged us for it, too….even after stating it was a reaction to the application of the Advantage that they recommended. It has been nearly 4 weeks now & he still throws up occasionally & his eyes don't look right… like he has neuro damage from it. I ponder if there is liver or kidney damage caused by this, as well, since he still throws up occasionally. After reading several horror stories from other cat owners about Advantage, I gave my cat some diatomaceous earth in the water bowl, in hopes it will help pull any of this from his system. He was a perfectly healthy, fully vaccinated 9 month old kitten that now has lasting effects from this…..NOW WHAT? I am so worried about him & SO ANGRY AT THE VET & BAYER. Will this shorten his life or make him miserable for the remainder?

  12. Do spot-on flea meds for cats contain carcinogens? Please let me know if you can. I would like to use Revolution plus for my cats as a preventive, but Im afraid it could possibly cause my cats to get cancer. Thanks.
