The looks of them remind me of banana fritters on Bondai Beach out from Sydney. I gorged myself on them almost every day I was there.

just go to DD and buy "Bavarian Cream Donut". Take it home and use a propane torch…voila! Creme Brulee Donut.
Dip the bottom in chocolate, and the Boston Creme Brûlée is born
