It's not a "classic" margarita if it doesn't have salt. Tequila, cointreau, lime juice salt is a classic margarita.
While i'm sure his recipe would turn out fine, try a ratio of 4:2:2:1 Reposado Tequila, Lime juice, Cointreau, Rich Syrup (2:1 Cane Sugar, Water) You won't be disappointed.
