  1. My dog just scared me to death doing this. Can reverse sneeze cause a bit of saliva to come out too after the episode? He was drooling a bit after. Thanks for the video now I know what to if it happens again.

  2. Omg! I have a 9 year old cat that had feline herpes which the vet told me was a sinus infection her eyes were weeping her nose was running she was sneezing constantly I finally took her in after a year I know it’s horrible but I thought she was going to get better I took her in after a year and the infection has spread down into her lungs the vet and I very quickly put her on anabiotic‘s and within literally hours she started feeling better the very next day she was obviously feeling better but was still sluggish about five days after I gave her the antibiotics she was doing great she started feeling better and then she started making this really horrible snorting sound. then after watching this video, she was having a reverse sneeze. I tried what this video recommended, (holding her mouth closed and putting 1 finger over 1 of her nostrils) and wow! oh my gosh, literally. it helped so this does not only work on dogs it works on cats as well thank you so much

  3. This works on my chihuahua all the time, now when she starts reverse sneezing she walks towards me so I can help her out and she loves it she really does feel better

  4. My dog is very averse to being touched on her face. Whenever she has this problem I give her a head, neck and shoulder massage. It helps her a lot.
Have a good night erybuddy!! 🙂

  5. I have a flat faced dog who does this every time he takes off on his walk… I place my hand over his nose and when I take it off he takes a breath and it stops. I call it re setting him 😂

  6. I cover both nostrils, but don't hold the mouth (obviously). It forces the dog to breathe through the mouth. It works in mild episodes and you have to do it a couple times. But usually giving 1/2 Claritin helps.

  7. Definitely going to try this. Both My lil guys do this a lot. Sometimes almost to passing out. When I first saw them do this I panicked and thought it was a seizure. They had no clue what I it was and told me to take video. Said that he has to take x rays to make sure he has no other issues.. like a collapsed trachea… $400 later they found nothing..and he was fine, it happened all the time….Went to another Vet and it happened in the office. Vet knew right away.. and assured me it’s ok. Told me what it was and said the worst that will happen is he may pass out… from lack of oxygen but will come to right away. It’s not dangerous..he told me to cover his nose or blow on his nose and mouth….. that never worked. They never passed out glad to say….
14 years later both brothers still have this.. some days more than others… and they are fine. Just to see this looks frightening like they are struggling for air.. their bodies get so rigid..
