  1. Thank you. I’m apart of wires and I am a 1st year Vet student. It was extremely devastating as I was visiting my partner in the snowy mountains and we got stuck due to the bush fires. The amount of wildlife animals we picked up and managed to rescue was crazy. But the saddest thing I saw was burnt/dead wildlife, household pets, horses and cattle on the side of the road. It’s going to be awhile till everyone recovers 😭 Thank you for your donation it means a lot.

  2. Yes, this is so heartbreaking. I know that generally koalas do not need a lot of supplementary water (under normal conditions) because they receive most of their moisture from the eucalyptus leaves. Clearly times have changed…. They are coming to humans begging for water and yes, so many scores upon scores of animals wild and domesticated killed or maimed by these fires. Thanks for addressing this and giving a direct place to contribute….there are so many darned scams that pop up around contributions for disasters it's hard to know who to trust these days. Gracias!

  3. Thank you SO much for this video. It is beyond words here. My heart is so broken for the animals we’ve lost and the losses we will have in the future with the habitat destruction.
Wires is a wonderful place to donate to. The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital is also excellent to support. They lost 300 koalas tragically. The money they are raising goes towards rehabilitating burned koalas, as well as putting water stations out in areas that were destroyed so animals still have water.
    Again, THANK YOU.

  4. I am in Australia. What is happening is more than heart breaking. They say over 1/2 million animals have lost their lives as well as many homes and also the loss of some lives. Australia is on fire folks. We, and our precious animals (Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies,Snakes…all our native animals and untold beautiful birds desperately need your support. Thank you for sharing our story, God Bless.

  5. One half billion Koalas and Kangaroos, are gone ! So when we all step up to a reputable site like this one , anything, you can give is helping, because word of mouth ,is how I share info , about people who need help , / animals, etc . ( This appears to me ,beyond a state of Emergency 🚨) Can’t we do more ? 😢.
I think as human beings ,it’s imperative, to share this video , and as hard as this was to watch , it left me sobbing. I’m a huge animal lover, and they cannot speak to us . The woman ripping off her own shirt ,is what most of us would also do , ( To this Woman , I love your soul, your loving spirit) so thank you sweetheart,so very very much for your effort, for educating us all ,on just how dire this situation is ,but unfortunately,it’s going to last another 3-4 months . I’m getting everyone I know together, it’s about sharing this video with others knowing that small donations add up to huge ones . So thanks Andrew ,your an amazing Dr as always , and to everyone affected, please take care of yourselves ,and those who cannot speak for themselves. Your all in my ❤️!

  6. It is now Jan 5 2020. Lewis the koala rescued by the brave woman had to be euthanised because his burns were too extensive. Australia has now lost thousands of koalas kangaroos wallabies birds plants and trees in this unprecedented bushfire, mostly in New South Wales Victoria and Queensland. Fires are also raging in South Australia and Western Australia. Many human lives have been lost too.
    I live in Tasmania Australia

  7. If you are watching this , please help these creatures . One ☝️ single dollar man, it adds up ,if 20 people put in 2-3 $ , we can make a huge difference. ! This is really heartbreaking. If we all share this , then I believe we can all get involved. 30% is insanity . OMG we must help ,this is desperate!
OMG this is so hard to watch , but Dr your right , this is a state of emergency! Every $ counts . Oh god ,my heart is breaking .

  8. This was so touching to watch, let alone hear them cry out!! I signed a petition and donated to help the Koalas in need. Most of these fires are man-made by DEW's: Direct Energy Weapons!!

  9. This is SO terribly tragic!! Can we adopt them in the US? We have TONS of wild eucalyptus trees all along the coast here in California.. plenty of food for them grows here if there's a need for fresh eucalyptus to be shipped

  10. The devastation is heartbreaking. I follow a wildlife rescue/rehab YouTuber in Australia and she posted the current estimate from an ecologist at Sydney University is that around 480 million animals have died in these fires since September.

  11. My dog Dave died on December 10 and a week later I tried to make my heart stop with an overdose of Pieris. But I woke up again the next day. Dave and Kenny want me to go on and adopt another dog and keep doing animal rights activism. I cry every day. Seeing the Koalas suffer is heartbreaking and I cry with them. I will post your video on my Facebook Nicola Reddwoodd and on Mother Earth page. I'm always telling people to help the Koalas in Australia to give them water and apply hydrated Sodium Bentonite clay onto their burn wounds because it dissolves the pain instantly and helps with the healing process.

  12. Thank you so much for helping to raise awareness. The bushfires in Australia are truly devastating us. So many friends have lost houses and the wild life is suffering so much.

  13. australia looks like it's going to be uninhabitable soon enough. koalas were already declared functionally extinct last may, before these fires, mostly due to habitat loss and chlamydia which they were infected with by domesticated animals (likely sheep). unfortunately this is only the beginning i'm afraid. between ecocide and climate change, which now appears to be runaway, we're going to witness something truly devastating to all life on earth.
