  1. Can I give this to my dog if he is diabetic? He’s on antibiotics but I know it’s his collapse trachea. Also do you recommend a hot water humidifier? Thanks so much!!!

  2. My 10 year old pointer lab mix was diagnosed with heart worms about 3 months ago, the vet gave use pills for the cough, antibiotics, and advantage multi drops and told us to double the dose of the advantage drops and cough meds. The cough meds worked well until we ran out and the cough came right back and has gotten worse. The drops have eliminated our flea problem but there's no way to tell if it's helped with the heart worms. The vet told us it was an experimental treatment for the worms since it was a cheaper option and we could not afford the proven remedy. I am supposed to take him in agai. To get a refill on the drops but I'm not sure if the vet is being genuine with me or just looking for a return customer. Maybe I'm paranoid but I worry that the advantage drops are not helping the heart worms and I don't want to have my pup on an endless supply of pills for the cough. Any advice?

  3. Just bought this on Amazon as my 16 year-old Yorkie has a collapsed trachea and it is getting worse (she went to the vet yesterday since she had a sudden flare-up and was coughing non-stop). The vet did prescribed some meds but I always prefer natural remedies for the long-run. Thanks so much Doc. I'm going to give this a try!

  4. If anyone can answer this I'll be grateful: I'm using Vet Wothy Kennel Cough Droplets for my dog, and it's very hard to put the drops in her mouth. Does it work the same if I put the drops on food, or must it be ingested directly through the mouth/tongue?

  5. i had to take my 9 year old shihtzu to the vet for coughing and runny nose, tried the lemon and honey it didn;t work, she put him on clavaseptin 62.5 mg 2 tablets 2 times a day for 5 days, it didnt work, he is now on azithromycin 100mg orally once a day, it has helped alot but he is still coughing some, and he wants to sleep all the time,he gets up to pee and i have been hand feeding him, that's not new though, he was always a picky eater and i always hand fed him, the vet is telling me i should try lung worm treatment, which i will do tomorrow,if that doesn't work, i am at my wits end, i have no ideas left on how to help him, i am so very worried about him, i love him dearly and want him to get better, what are your thoughts please answer

  7. Thanks so much! I'm buying this one, specifically. Everyone, please be careful with other elderberry syrups sold on Amazon. They have different ingredients, like cloves, which are toxic to dogs.

  8. I was just wondering how much do I give my lil dog of the other ingredients for the cough in ur natural cough syrup with the elderberry? I believe u only had how much to give of the elderberry but not the honey or vinegar, apropalus. I dont think I spelled it correctly and do u add any water to it and how often can I give it to her. Thanku

  9. Where can I get the cough syrup from that you’re talking about and exactly how much would I give her she’s a Pomeranian Shih Tzu she weighs 3 pounds and she’s going to be 4 months October 10

  10. Thank you, Dr Jones. I can't get Suro syrup, but I have found 100% pure elderberry juice, no other ingredients. Since the ingredients are different between the two products, could you please tell me the dosage for a 37 lbs dog? Also, once or twice daily? Thank you so much for sharing this remedy

  11. My senior dog has been wheezing on and off and started having dry cough . Does the suro help for wheezing too ( I think he has congestion) . The vet prescribed hydroxyzine that helps stop the wheezing but made him drank a lot of water so discontinued .
