Where can I get one of these? My vet said my dog has a torn axle and needs surgery but he did not do x rays. He showed me the hyper extension of the knee
Bless little Heather 💖💖💖 thank you Doc, I'm saving up for my dogs surgery and I'm going to try this in the mean time. This relieves me of so much stress from worrying about him
This is a great video. Thank you for this. It has given me lots of information and helps to ensure that I make the correct decision for my very active dog who has injured his leg. Heather at the end of the video looks great. I hope my dog will too.
This poor dog is miserable. Why didn't you demo with an uninjured, trained model? And then you made the dog stand with bare feet on the slippery hardwoods? DEPLATFORM VETERINARIANS goddamn. You are not being a good steward of your platform and you're benefiting off sick animals. End the medical industrial complex already!
I have a Boxer Jax that has had ACL surgery for both his left and right knees. He just re-injured his left knee again. That was first ACL tear. Jaxon has a metal plate in the left knee. We did everything to the T for his entire recovery period! We had to go to a different veterinarian for surgery for his right knee injury because of COVID and my regular veterinarian's office would not do surgeries at that time. They did a suture method. No metal plate. It has held up, but is being over used again to compensate. He doesn't limp much, but enough to make this fur mom know not all is good.
It’s been two weeks since our 12-year-old Rottweiler had a complete tear of her ACL however she’s a high risk for surgery so we are going non surgical route. She shows no pain whatsoever just a limp rear right leg. Our veterinarian is completely against wrapping or bracing the bad leg and I just can’t understand why although I’ve asked and I understand the explanation but yet I still don’t lol. Is it too soon? She favors the rear left and I’m scared she’s going to eventually hurt that as well. Please help me make the correct decision please we are desperate. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
Thank you great info my dog hurt his knee a few days ago we have ordered a brace for him and giving CBD oil and turmeric would like to know did your brothers dog recover
Thank you for this video! You have no idea how much it means to me that you share your veterinary knowledge with us to help us take care of our dogs. I learn so much from your videos and I love your laid-back attitude. I just ordered the brace for my dog whose ligament is torn. Maybe this is a dumb question but: Should I take the brace off of him at night when he sleeps or should it stay on all the time, like a cast? Thank you for your help.
My dog’s ccl got tore partially. She is 11.5 months 82 lbs medium dog. I am worried about her recovery with conservative methods and a brace. Is it better to get a surgery?
I am totally disappointed in this company! I send money for the brace and then they refund without talking to me saying the brace won’t fit so I lost out on $22! Very unprofessional.
Great info Dr Jones thanks so much I know you are probably busy so I ll keep scrolling through your videos if you don't have time to answer my question 😊 My 10 year old 75lb Archie dog, after a few times that after a run he was limping and then got better again, he eventually hurt the right hind leg and now he is not bearing weight. We are resting him expect for one flight of stairs to get back to our apartment. The vet assessed him while standing and very tense and she said it's 99% ACL and possibly meniscus. I don't think she did the drawer test. After one week he shows very small improvement, at home he is relaxed and acts as usual.. except for the not weight bearing…he is a couch potato. Do you think we should consider surgery? I have him on lots of bone broth, collagen, fish and CBD oil. Thanks in advance for everything you do
I just got Drake’s orthodog brace. I have gone to two vets, all they recommended was crate rest with meds/ surgery.Thank you for your advise.I hope this helps him
My lab tore her acl this month. It’s $4000 USD to fix at her regular vet but as you say people don’t always have it. We are using a slightly less expensive brace. She tries to stand on her leg now but also tries to run. She’s 11 almost 12 so we do worry about surgery at this age, and her spine is fused they found.
My Beagle is in this situation now. We do not have money for surgery so was just searching for a brace this morning. Thank you for all you do for us.
Can this be used on the good knee to prevent it from tearing after the other leg has healed from surgery?
Can I order this brace via Amazon? My girl Molly tore
hers a week ago and I’d rather go this route then surgery..

Excellent
Thanks so much for this information. What's your opinion of Bromelain as an anti-inflammatory mediation?
Can you also use it on the left leg ?
Can the dog lay around with this pn?
Should I do the passive range of motion exercises twice a day right after diagnosis or should I wait? Thank you
