  1. diatomaceous earth (food grade) kills all insects and parasites while causing no harm to people & animals. I routinely used it on my chickens and in the coup, I powder my dogs & cats for ticks & fleas, and add to food as a dewormer, even for kittens. I don’t know if it’s effective on heart worm which doesn’t reside in the digestive system. It’s useful in the garden but remember it will kill useful insects too. I sprinkle it around the foundation of my house to keep the crawlers out and in the basement too. Just take care that no one is inhaling it as it’s a fine powder and has no business in the respiratory system.

Speaking of kittens, last year I took in 3 that were dumped in the country. They were lucky. Many end up shot if they’ve been dumped at a location where it’s a common occurrence. These babies all had yukky infected eyes which I cured by applying a little coconut oil 2-3x/day for about a week.

  2. EVERYONE ! ! ! !
(Cats & Dogs safe Food Grade Diamateous Earth Powder buy a powder shifter) apply close to a surface or brush in/ work into the base. Can use this on fur coats or on carpets ect ect, get a broom if need be and sweep into the surface on carpet floors can vacuum and buy this stuff in bulk only becomes useless when wet but just apply close to desired areas to avoid getting lots in the air breathing it in is about the worst of this otherwise very safe anti flee anti bug powder

  3. I grow catnip in two planters on my back porch/deck. It is extremely hardy! Cats from all over love to brush up against it, nibble it, sometimes lay on it (which I don't particularly like, lol). I fed mine with some good liquid fertilizer and it is growing so green after looking almost dead.

  4. Smokey loves cat nip and rarely gets fleas, but roundworms about 4 times a year. Any suggestions, I've tried so many things? He is mainly an indoor cat, gets out at times tho. Thank you and we love you, here in the Ohio river valley, W Va, USA. 💖🥇🏆💖🐱🐾💖🐾🐶🐾💖

  5. One thing I do to fight fleas, is get a can of room flea spray and before u vacuum, spray some in the vacuum bag/canister then vacuum like normal, your NOT putting harmful poison on your companion just in the vacuum.
